Crypto Mining Calculator – Calculate Mining Profit & Costs

Crypto Mining Calculator

Crypto mining is the process of using computer power to verify transactions and help secure a cryptocurrency blockchain. Miners use specialized hardware to solve mathematical problems and can earn crypto rewards.

A crypto mining calculator is a simple tool that helps you estimate how much a mining setup could earn after electricity and pool costs. You can enter your mining hashrate, network hashrate, block reward, block time, power usage, electricity cost, pool fee, and coin price. The calculator then estimates your daily mining revenue, electricity cost, net profit or loss, profit margin, and possible hardware break-even time.

The CST Times Crypto Mining Calculator is a calculation tool only. It does not connect to your mining machine, mining pool, or exchange account.

Estimate your mining rewards and see if they cover your electricity bill.

Network hashrate and block reward are usually shown on the coin's explorer or on your mining pool's site. Leave the hardware cost empty to skip the break-even estimate.

Enter your hashrate, network hashrate, block details, power and coin price to see the result.

Monthly figures assume a 30-day month. This is a snapshot at today's difficulty, price and electricity cost — all three change over time, so real results will differ. For educational purposes only, not financial advice.

What is a Crypto Mining?

Crypto mining is the process of verifying transactions and adding them to a blockchain network. It is mainly used by cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. Miners use powerful computers to solve complex mathematical problems and confirm transactions. When a miner successfully adds a new block to the blockchain, they may receive cryptocurrency as a reward. Mining also helps keep the network secure and prevents the same coins from being spent twice.

What is a Crypto Mining Calculator?

A crypto mining calculator estimates the potential results of a mining setup based on the information you enter.

For example, if your mining hardware uses 3,000 watts, your electricity costs $0.10 per kWh, and you enter the relevant network and block information, the calculator can estimate your daily mining revenue and electricity cost.

It can also show whether the estimated mining revenue is higher or lower than your electricity expe

How to Use the Crypto Mining Calculator

Using the calculator is simple.

1. Enter the Coin

Enter the cryptocurrency you want to analyse in the Coin field.

For example, enter BTC for Bitcoin. This field is optional and mainly helps identify the coin in your results.

2. Enter Your Hashrate

Enter your mining hardware’s hashrate and select the correct unit, such as MH/s, GH/s, TH/s, or PH/s.

For example, enter 100 and select TH/s if your mining setup has a hashrate of 100 TH/s.

3. Enter the Network Hashrate

Enter the total network hashrate and select its correct unit.

The network hashrate shows the estimated computing power of the entire mining network. You can usually find this information from the coin’s blockchain explorer or mining pool.

4. Enter Block Reward and Block Time

Enter the Block Reward in coins and the Block Time in seconds.

For example, enter the number of coins paid for each block and how many seconds the network takes to produce a block.

5. Enter Power and Electricity Cost

Enter your mining hardware’s Power Draw in watts.

Then enter your Electricity Cost per kWh.

For example, if your electricity rate is $0.10 per kWh, enter 0.10.

6. Add Pool Fee and Coin Price

Enter your Pool Fee as a percentage.

Then enter the Coin Price in your selected currency.

You can check the coin’s market price using the Live Market Chart below and enter the price you want to use. You can also enter any other price to test a different mining scenario.

7. Add Hardware Cost

The Hardware Cost field is optional.

You can enter the price you paid for your mining hardware to estimate how long it could take to recover the hardware cost from mining profit.

How Does the Mining Calculator Work?

The calculator uses your hashrate compared with the network hashrate to estimate your share of the mining network.

It then uses the block reward and block time to estimate how many coins you could mine. The coin price is used to calculate your estimated revenue, while power usage and electricity cost are used to estimate your daily electricity expense.

The pool fee is also included in the calculation.

What Does the Calculator Show?

The calculator shows coins mined per day, daily revenue, daily electricity cost, network share, profit margin, and daily net profit or loss.

It also provides an earnings breakdown for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly periods.

Why is a Crypto Mining Calculator Useful?

Mining profitability depends on several factors, including network conditions, coin price, electricity cost, hardware efficiency, and pool fees.

A mining calculator lets you change these values and see how different assumptions affect your estimated mining results.

Important Note

Mining results are estimates based on the information you enter. Network hashrate, mining difficulty, block rewards, coin prices, electricity costs, and pool fees can change over time.

Actual mining results may therefore be different from the calculator’s estimate. The Crypto Mining Calculator is provided for informational and educational purposes only and is not financial advice.
